Container Number Format
A standard ocean container number usually has four letters followed by seven digits. This number helps identify the container owner and the individual container.
Example
MSCU1234567
The first four letters are the owner or equipment code. The remaining seven digits identify the container and include a check digit.
How To Track It
- Enter the full container number in the tracker.
- The site checks whether the format looks valid.
- If the owner code is recognized, open the official carrier tracking page.
- Paste the copied container number on the carrier website if needed.
